Tennis

For the past few weeks Payton has not been wanting to go to gymnastics.  I think she enjoyed it, but it was at four in the afternoon after she had been at school from nine to two.  I think she was just tried and wanted to chill and not do another activity.  Although I was a little disappointed because I loved gymnastics, I went with the flow and cancelled her from the class.  Tuesdays are the only days she doesn't go to school.  She does have ballet in the morning, but after that her schedule is clear.  Payton has also been expressing an interest in tennis. We bought her a Dora tennis racket about a year ago and she loves hitting the soft red balls.  Also, Derek was an amazing tennis player when he was younger.  I am not expanding the the truth on this one.  Apparently, he won multiple junior tennis tournaments and was a little rockstar.  He often regrets giving it up when he was in high school to focus on basketball and baseball.

So, in an effort to get another activity for Payton that is sporty (FYI, Derek doesn't consider ballet or gymnastics sporty) I found a tennis class on Tuesday afternoons.  Here is Payton before class.

I think she looks pretty serious.  She really enjoyed the first class and her goal is to be good enough to beat Daddy one day at tennis.

Also, below is some video from the first class.  I do want to say, that I do not hang around a lot of four year old kids other than my own.  All the kids in the class were either four or five.  I am really hoping the majority of them were five because Payton looks so small compared to them.  I know that she is only in the 20th percentile for height, but dear Lord, she looked like a munchkin out there.

On a separate note, I still feel like death.  I am on day three of antibiotics and I am hoping they kick in soon. This morning I told Derek that I officially dislike him for getting me sick.

She looks so cute! Bryan hopes M likes tennis too. He wasn't a rock star at it but still pretty good.

I hope you feel better soon!

Oh and by the way, I don't need to get my own Pinterest account to check out house ideas when I can just check out your pins! :)
