5 Months Old Today!

Every time I think about Pater being 5 months old, I think of the 5 dollar foot long ad from subway. You know the one. 5 dollar, 5 dollar foot long.

Sorry....... Back to Pater.

I can't believe our little girl is 5 months today. I know everyone says it, but it is so true........ Where does the time go?

So without further ado, here is all about Payton at 5 months:

1) She can roll every which way and she reminds me of a fish out of water. She just flops around;


2) Diaper changes are now an adventure because of #1 above;



3) It is so darn cute (and scary because of a diaper less baby laying on our bed) to see her naked bottom during a diaper change because of reason #1 above;



4) She is in love with Daisy (she just watches her nonstop);



5) She can grasp and hold on to anything (including, but not limited to, toys, bottles, books, Mommy's hair and earrings);



6) She can express a new emotion... frustration. Especially when said toy or object is not cooperating with her;


7) She has discovered her voice and will scream with delight and then laugh;


8) She has graduated from baths in the sink in her tub to taking baths in my bathtub in her little tub (again because of reason #1 above);


9) She can hold her own bottle;


10) She loves to be out and about and "talk" to new people;

11) She can sit up on her own for about 30 seconds to a minute on her own before she topples over;


12) She loves to be kissed and give kisses (I call it sucking your face off and I have to admit I look forward to seeing her after work and holding her and having my face sucked off. Although, I could live without the hair / earring pulling that normally accompanies her kisses);

13) Her favorite toys are the remote controls. Her and Daddy will sit together every night and Payton will throw remotes off the table and Daddy will pick them up for the game to start over again and again and again and again; and

14) She is pure love to us and we are so honored that we get to be her parents.


Grandpat took her yesterday for her 5 month photo shoot and the pictures are adorable. I'll post them as soon as I have time.
