Payton has turned into such a little princess. I mean this in a good way as well as in not such a good way. I don't know what happened, but she turned two and all hell broke loose. Don't get me wrong, she can be such a little angle at times, but then there are times when she is not such an angle. As Derek has said numerous times, I hope she grows out of this soon. She is just so stubborn and wants her way. We now have resorted to what we refer to as "serious time-out" around our house. The old time-out of sitting on the stairs was failing. Now whenever Payton throws a fit over not getting her way or throws a toy, food or object, or just flat out throws a punch at Daddy and Mommy for not getting her way, Derek and I send her to "serious time-out". Serious time-out is now a time out with her nose to the corner in the adjoining room. We of course wait outside, but she can't see us. After she is done with time-out we again tell her why she was put there and then help her correct her behavior by picking up the object she threw and putting it away correctly.
I heard of the terrible twos, but I don't think I was really prepared. However, the majority of the time, Payton is such a trip to be around. She is so funny and says and does stuff that just has us rolling on the floor. Of course, I can't think of an example right now, but the good times far out weigh her little fits. That being said, I thought I would leave you with a picture of our little princess.

LOL. I know we're in for trouble because Landry's Terrible Two's are starting now and he's only 14 months! He may have his little nose in a corner sooner than expected... Good luck!
