The title of my post is a little misleading. First I will address the antibiotics. About two weeks ago, Payton started to have some serious gook come out of one of her eyes. Lovely, I know. We took her to the doctor where we were told a double ear infection. Antibiotics were ordered and given and we went today for the re-check. During this time, Payton also got a cold. Other than a constant snot coming from her nose and a cough when she laid down she was going full speed ahead. At the re-check we were told her left ear was great, but the right ear (the ear that the tube fell out of) is not so good. Therefore, another round of antibiotics were ordered and another re-check scheduled. I really hope we can kick this ear infection because if this round of medication does not work then we are headed back to the ENT to discuss putting a tube back in her right ear. I wonder if it will be half the price since it is only one ear?
Enough of the icky stuff and now on to Christmas. I wanted to post a couple of pictures from Christmas with Derek's family. The one good thing about Payton's birthday being so close to Christmas is that we always have Christmas with Derek's family the following Sunday before they head out of town. Therefore, we don't have to drive up to West Texas and we get to spend Christmas with his family.

She looks so grown up to me in the picture:

Princess Payton part two.

This has to be one of my all time favorite pictures of Derek and Payton. It is so funny to see a grown man wear a purple hat.

Fingers crossed she doesn't have to get another tube. Our ENT said it's not uncommon for kiddos to have to get a second set. I'm going to go out on a limb and say M may fall into that category.
And I agree, it should be half price. :)
