Fever.........

On Sunday night, Payton woke up about midnight burning up. I checked and sure enough 101.2. I gave her Motrin and she eventually fell back asleep. However, she was up again around 4:00 a.m. when the medicine wore off. We went to the doctor on Monday (so grateful that she was open on Martin Lutheran King Day), and she tested Payton and she was clear for the flu and strep. So it is some sort of virus that has to run its course.

She had a fever all yesterday, and was in general cling mode to Mommy. Last night she woke up again around 3:00 a.m. and was burning up again. Of course that was about the time for another dose of Motrin. I am hoping that we are in the last stages of this virus running its course. It just breaks my heart that she doesn't feel well and there is nothing that I can do except hold her.
