The main problem is that we have moved Payton to her big girl bed all by herself. My parents purchased Payton's big girl bed for her new room in her "new house."
Here is her bed. My parents also bought the matching dresser and night stand. Derek's comment when he saw the new furniture was that it was nicer than our bed.

And this is her bedding. We are going with the whole castle theme with a touch of princess. Granny Camille is making curtains that are black and white check with light green and pink accent colors.

Monday was our first official night in the new house. I started to get Payton in bed around 8:30. We read two books, sang songs and said our prayers. I then told her that I was going down stairs, but all she had to say was Momma and I would be right there. Finally, around 10:30 she fell asleep. There was some tears, numerous potty breaks and other tactics to try to get out of going to sleep. However, she slept from 10:30 to 4:30 in the morning all by herself. When I heard her at 4:30 I just went and got her and put her in our bed. I was afraid if I tried to get her to go back to sleep upstairs that I would fall asleep with her (and there is no alarm to wake me up) or she would fight me and make herself more awake. I just didn't have the energy at 4:30 in the morning to fight this battle.
Tuesday night there was a hiccup in our routine. We actually stayed at my mom's house because the upstairs a/c wasn't working. That's a whole other post. Any who...............so we come upon last night. Again, I put Payton to bed around 8:45. Again, it is not until 10:30 until she falls asleep. I go down stairs and crawl into bed. I am beyond tired at this point. Derek is already passed out next to me. I am actually thinking, this was kind of easy getting Payton to sleep in her big girl bed all by herself. I was totally expecting not to get woken up until maybe 4:30 or god forbid 6:30.
So as I was saying, I crawl into bed at 10:30 and I am out. The next thing I know Derek is waking me up saying something about Payton. Then I hear her on the monitor. I look over at the clock........... it is 12:30. No problem, I go back upstairs and get her back to sleep. I crawl back into bed at 12:45. Derek is having a hard time falling back to sleep because of pillow issues. I finally fall back asleep and then I hear Payton again. I am thinking, geez........... it is already 4 or 5 in the morning. Nope............... it is 2:15. Okay, Momma's starting to get a little cranky by this point.
I go upstairs and pick her up and just bring her downstairs with us because I am beyond exhausted at this point. Derek is passed out. I guess around 3:30 he wakes up and decided that he was going upstairs to sleep because of the pillow issue. I probably wouldn't have heard him if he didn't wake me up to tell me he was going upstairs to sleep and to wake him when his alarm goes off.
Then at 6:00 a.m. the alarm goes off. It is on his side of the King size bed. So I have to get up to turn it off. I am tempted to lay back down, but then I figure Derek would be pretty upset if I didn't wake him up because you know the whole being on time for work thing. So I march upstairs to the guest room where I think Derek is. No Derek. Hmmmmmmm......... Maybe he is on the sofa downstairs. No Derek........... This is strange. So I walk in Payton's room, and there is Derek all snuggled in Payton's bed with the picture of Cinderella over her nightstand and the fairy castle bedding. I tell him his alarm is off and go back to lay down. I am hoping I can get another 20 minutes of sleep. When I walk back to our bedroom Payton is sitting up telling me she is awake. Lordy, Lordy.
Needless to say.......... I did not fall back asleep, and the best part is we get to do this all over again tonight. I am planning on making her run laps around the house in the evening so she will NOT wake up multiple times in the night. I am also hoping to find Derek's "pillow" so we won't have the whole ordeal of trying to find his favorite pillow at two in the morning with no luck.

I'm sorry you're sleep-deprived but this post was hilarious! Oh, and yeah, your kid's bed is way nicer than mine too.
