Just a Little Dramatic

Payton is a drama queen. No doubt about it. I don't know if it is an only child thing or part hereditary from her dad (hahaha), but she is full of drama. Here are some "fun" quotes she loves to say.

When I am brushing her hair or Daisy is loving her, "You are killing me."

When Derek gives her bath, "This isn't working."

Any time you try to have a conversation with anyone other than her, "Don't talk to _________, talk to me!"

She is also a little bossy pants. She loves to tell everyone what to do and when to do it. If you are watching anything on TV other than Nick Jr. she will yell at you that she doesn't want to watch the news and grab the remote and try to change the channel.

She also loves to sing and put on shows (part of the drama queen). She will pretend any step in our house is a stage and you MUST watch her dance. Don't you dare even think about not watching her to prepare dinner or fold laundry because she will let you have it.

Derek and I often wonder who is wearing the pants in our family because she is of the opinion that everything MUST revolve around her.

We are trying our best not to let this line of thought continue, and overall she is a wonderful, behaving child. However, it is hard because I want to spend as much time with her as possible. She is growing so fast and I feel like I miss so much because I have to work. I love her little performances. Soon she will be older and she will not want us to be her best friends. I don't know what age it starts, but Cooper, who is now five, is already starting be like that. He is a super kid, but don't you dare try to hug him or kiss him when he is trying to play. It breaks my heart, but I guess all kids grow up and their parents aren't as cool as they once were. So I am trying to just enjoy the moment for as long as I can that she thinks I am the bees knees.

Other than Payton being a little diva, life in the Cargill household is all good. The house is finally coming together, and it is starting to feel like our home.
