I would apologize for the lack of blogging lately, but I really have no good reason for not blogging. There is the usual stuff that keeps me from blogging such as work. However, I think the reason for my lack of post is that we have just been so darn busy. Last weekend we went to Amarillo for Jackson's third birthday party. Of course, I forgot my camera. As soon as Granny Camille e-mails me some pictures I'll be sure to post them. One of the many things I learned about our trip to Amarillo is that there is a big advantage to having just one child. It would be air travel. That's right. Although now we have to pay for Payton's ticket to ride on the big jet liner, it is still perfect because we fit perfectly in a row of three. We put Payton in the middle and Derek and I still have tons of room. I was thinking on the flight, if we have another one how would this work? We would have to divide up on a row with each of us taking a kiddo and then have to share that row with a stranger. Although, everyone says (or at least they tell me) that Payton is such a cutie, I don't know how they would feel being seated next to her for over an hour on a flight.
Please don't think for one minute that Derek and I making some sort of statement regarding IF we are going to have another baby based on air travel, but I think it definitely goes into the pro column of only having one.
Let's see.......... after tomorrow's delivery of furniture our house will be complete in so much as furniture. Next step is painting a couple of rooms and putting up some curtains. Granny Camille is making curtains for Payton's room, but I am going to hire someone to make curtains for our room. Not that I don't think Granny could do it, but Granny is retired and I am pretty sure she doesn't want to spend all her spare time sitting in front of a sewing machine.
And now I will leave you with this picture. I like to call it "Payton the Flamingo Dancer in Vegas."

Or maybe Princess Leia.
