Well, Hello STRESS

To say things have been a little stressful at our household would be an understatement. The good news is that the closing went through and we are legally homeless. Now the fun begins. Let's see, I had two trial settings this week, so I worked all weekend. As in, I came up to work and worked. So the work front has been a little overwhelming, but manageable.

With our house officially sold, we now have to pack. Don't get me wrong, we have packed a lot all ready. When we put our house on the market A YEAR AGO, we did "declutter" and moved a lot of stuff to my parents' garage. Now we have to pack the rest of the house. Just thinking about packing up all our clothes makes me want to break out in hives.

I have already called and set up the cancellation of all our utilities. Contacted all the bills that we are keeping and changed the address. I still have to change all our banking information and tie up some other lose ends on that front, and the movers are coming on the 16th. It is going to be a hectic two weeks coming up trying to get 6 years worth of stuff either boxed up or shipped off to Goodwill.

Derek and I our in the process of building a new home. We are awaiting the permits to come back from the city we are moving to before the building process can begin. After the permits arrive it SHOULD be 90 to 120 days to complete. As of now, the permits are expected in the next couple of weeks. Therefore, Derek, Payton, Daisy and myself will be moving in with my parents until our house is ready.

I think overall it will be a good thing. Payton will no longer have the two hour ride to and from work and then back to my mom's house every morning and afternoon. We will be saving a ton of money, and my parents house is laid out pretty well where we will still have our privacy. But I haven't lived at home since college, so this should be a "bonding" experience for all involved.

Fingers crossed that we can get everything packed and ready for the movers in time.

Good luck!!! I loathe packing/moving, but can't wait to do it because that means we'll be moving into a (much needed) larger home! Just remember that all of this stress will definitely be worth it once you're in your beautiful new home! So happy for you and Derek :)
