Two Trucks and a Corn Dog

That would about describe this weekend. We are officially moved out of our house. The big move was scheduled for Saturday. Everything was going well until the last 30 minutes when we figured out that all our stuff would not fit into the biggest moving truck available. Therefore, the big move had to continue on Sunday when they came back to collect the last three items. It was so weird to leave "our" house for the last time. The movers went ahead of me to get a head start. Therefore, I was left in the house all alone on Sunday cleaning the floors for one last time. I took a couple of pictures with my cell phone and walked into every room one last time. I almost cried. I don't know why, but it was so sad standing alone in a our empty home knowing it would be the last time. While Derek and I were busy with the big move on Saturday, Payton hung out with Grandpat all day. They went to Southlake where a fair was taking place. This is the picture my mom texted me.

Payton had her first corn dog, and loved it. Don't you love her Elvis sunglasses? On Sunday, Payton went to the park with Derek and I went back to the house to await the movers. After the park, Payton went shopping again with my mom and then went over to see her cousin Cooper and played her little heart out. We all met up for dinner afterwards. On the way home, I asked Payton if she was tired because she kept rubbing her eyes. She looked at me with a straight face and said, "No, Mommy. I am not tired. I just had a rough day." I almost died laughing. First of all, I guess she has heard that before from me, and secondly, what can be so rough???? She is two!!! She played all day long.

After dinner we also went by our new house. They worked on it Saturday and Sunday.

They are really moving right along. As much as we are ready to have a new house, they can take their time a little bit. I mean the longer we are living with my parents the more money we can save, and I am over the whole moving thing for awhile.
