Poor Payton is teething like you wouldn't believe. Therefore, Payton is now also biting. I know that she is doing it to relieve some of her pain, but Mommy has BRUISES on her legs and arms from where Miss Payton has taken a good ol' bite. It hurts like you wouldn't believe, and my first reaction is to yank her off and scream. The problem with that is she thinks it is funny to hear Mommy scream so she turns it into a game. The game involves her chasing me around the house trying to "hug" my leg to take a bite and Mommy saying, "No, Payton, no bite." So far Mommy is losing.
She has also started to scream and whine for no reason. One minute she is fine, but then out of nowhere she screams bloody murder and wants her Momma NOW!!!

And the part that breaks my heart is I can't do anything for her. Of course I give her Tylenol and teething tablets, but until they kick in it is beyond rough. Derek tries to help, but sometimes she is beyond consolable. We have resorted to taking her "awsighed" (as she calls it) at eight o'clock at night just to calm her down.
Granny and Pops are coming tomorrow, so I am hoping against hope that her little teeth make their appearance. When we went on the cruise last year our table mate was a family and the dad was a dentist. He told us that the teething pain is the worst right before they pop out, and that they will always break the gum and pop out when they are sleeping. Therefore, every morning I pry my fingers (and try not to get bitten) to see if those little rascals have broke through.
I think this cartoon pretty much sums up life at the Cargill household in the evenings.

Man, such wonderful things to look forward to! M has been all over the place lately too with her moods. One minute smiling and the next screaming. It's almost like she senses a big change is coming.
Last night was particularly rough from about 5pm until I got her to sleep at 9:30. I know I should be grateful for how well she is sleeping already and I am, but Mama needed some dinner! Waiting that long does not make me a pleasant person. Since Bryan's busy season is in full force, he missed all the "fun."
Here's hoping the teeth pop up soon!!!!
How many teeth is she at now? The real joy comes with the molars!! Is that what she is getting? Stock up on Orajel!!
