Playing at the Death Star last night, and Derek and I were there!!!

"The Claw"

U2 was awesome. Although this was our first outing to the Death Star and concert at the new venue so we did learn some valuable lessons.
The first lesson was do not purchase your tickets from Ticketmaster the day they become available. Our seats were horrible (up in the 400) and the sound was bad. Next time, I will scan ebay or stub hub and pay through the nose (which the tickets we had were not cheap) and get on a lower level.
Second lesson, wear comfortable shoes. Derek and I both came from work and I was wearing black boots. Walking back to our car I thought I was going to die.
Third lesson, make sure your camera battery is fully charged. Oh, yes, my camera run out of batteries right before U2 hit the stage.
I will say that the Death Star is absolutely beautiful, and U2 played a great mix of old and new stuff. Also, right when U2 hit the stage someone in our section decided to smoke some of the sweet weed and the smell was pretty distinctive. At one point, the 360 screen stretched out and lowered. At first I thought it was the effects of second hand mary jane because I thought I was hallucinating; however, the screens did in fact lower and stretch out.
The show was awesome and Derek and I had a really good time. I can't wait until U2 comes back to town because we will definitely be there.

Ummmm....huh?
Finally! I can comment without shutting down my computer...seriously, don't know what has been up lately.
First, very cute outfits from yesterday's post. Can't wait to see pics! And I always wanted a fur coat when I was little so she's a very lucky little girl. :)
Second, I skipped out on the concert last night but Bryan said it was great. I was too tired. I can now add you and Derek to the list of "everyone I know" who went last night!
