1. Payton has now been saying things like "Use your words," to me if I don't verbally respond to her right away.
2. I have also been told that I am a mean mommy, I hurt her feelings, I upset her, and she is really disappointed in me. (This is usually because I make her do things like brush her teeth, get out of the bath, or said no to something.) I can't wait until the teenage years!!!!
3. This past week Derek decided to freshen up his work khakis in the dryer on the steam cycle. He left a blue pen in the pocket. The dryer drum is officially dyed blue and four pair of pants have been tossed.
4. I have finally (after four months) called about getting my side mirror fixed on my car.
5. There is this homeowner in our neighborhood whose yard is immaculate. I don't know what he does, but he is always outside (without a shirt on) working in his yard.
6. We really want a pool in our backyard.
7. Every time we go to one of Payton's school programs Derek and I always discuss needing to learn Spanish so we can understand what the hell the kids are singing.
8. They are building new houses in our neighborhood. Every time a new house is built on the street behind us Daisy refuses to go outside. The noise scares her to death. She literally shakes as she takes care of business. It is kind of sad and funny at the same time.
9. The girl trip with my mom is coming up soon. We are going to New York for a few days then off on a Disney Cruise. Payton is beyond excited about riding in a taxi.
10. I haven't been sleeping well lately. When I can't sleep, I lay awake and braid my hair in little tiny braids. I usually forget in the morning that I have done that until I try to brush out my wet hair. Ouch.
All and all things have been good. Payton is growing up so fast, and has been more lovable and difficult at the same time. I have video of her end of the year performance, but it is having difficulty loading. I will keep trying.

Great post! (Do you need a new dryer??) We need to get together soon... have a family pool date or something :)
I don't think we are going to need a new dryer. I have scrubbed it, oxycleaned it, and put in old, light towels to dry. It is not turning anything blue. A play/swim date would be great; however, it would have to be at the end of June before we could do anything. Talk to you soon.
You totally want a pool in your backyard (trust me, we miss ours). The man with the awesome lawn might be an Ag Chemical guy like Mat; we have the best lawn on the block too and I have no idea what he does either. I'm glad I'm not the only one that does weird hair things. At work when I get stressed I twirl one piece of hair repeatedly (the same piece) and lately I've been scared that I'm going to causing breakage that will lead to a bald spot if I don't stop. : /
