What's Been Happening.......

First of all, I finally updated the stats bar on the side of the blog. Since Payton is now three, I thought the almost two was a little outdated. I also have been playing with the blog layout. I haven't updated the background in so looooong that I forgot how to change the color on the text. Don't worry, I finally figured it out after about an hour playing around and one phone call to friend.

Life has been chugging along as usual. I am finally starting to decorate and get a plan for the junk room upstairs. It is called the junk room because we literally have all the furniture that we don't know where to put stored in that room. The plan for the room was to become my office/supply/scrape booking room. For the record, I don't scrape book. However, I do think I need to download all the pictures from Payton's birth until now and organize them in some way. Derek agreed (happy, happy, joy, joy) that I could sale some of the furniture and TV and get new things. At first he was a little reluctant; however, once I pointed out how much was invested in his media room (and how little money I was planning on spending) he finally caved. I will take some before and after pictures. However, right now I am still in the planning stages.

I am also loving this early Spring weather; however, I fear for how hot the summer may be. We are enjoying it as much as we can. Derek has purchased some new golf clubs and is getting out to play a couple of rounds of golf. Also, opening day for the Rangers is approaching so it is definitely feeling like Spring. I really want to get a swing set for Payton in the back yard; however, I am holding that one in my pocket until she takes care of some big girl business on the potty. I swear I don't know what to do. Seriously, she goes tee-tee on the potty all the time. We have no accidents. However, the other thing is a no go. She keeps telling me she will tomorrow.

I also think she is going through a little growth spurt right know. All her jeans that I bought for her last fall (size 24 months) are now too short on her. However, they are still snitched up to the smallest setting on the waistband. We have officially started to buy her 3T tops (she has a long waist) but still a 2T bottoms.

She also loves to wear dresses. It is a struggle to get her to wear pants. We have compromised and she has gone out in public with a dress over pants. This only happens when all her leggings are dirty or she is going to the park. She also wants to pick out what she wears and put it on herself.

This summer there is another family vacation with my mom, sister and nephew. We are doing the Disney Cruise from New York. We are planning on going a couple days early to check out the city and then board the ship. It leaves from New York and goes up through Canada. Payton is beyond excited.

Also, next March is a huge family vacation with the above crew and Derek. I can't wait. Derek is even excited; however, he is a little leery about when the vacation falls and work. I can't say too much about the work thing, but it is a good thing. I just hope the timing works out. I don't want to jinx it by saying too much. Therefore, I will keep the vacation plans and work plans to myself until we know for sure.

That is alot going on! I still can't believe how petite your child is. M has been in 3T shirts for months and we bought 3T shorts for her, some of which clearly will not make it to the summer. Too funny!

Have you ever tried to make a shutterfly album? I find them to be a great way to "scrapbook" photos. I like that you can make it as detailed or simple as you like (right down to an option that will literally create all the layouts for you). Just a suggestion for your photos. :)
