Disney.....Finally

I know we went in June and it is August, but I finally downloaded and have time to update the blog with our Disney trip.

My mom was the travel planner for this trip, and she had our days and nights booked to a tee. We flew out at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. My mom was stern on making sure we arrived to the airport at least two hours before our flight. Meaning we had to be at the airport at 4:30 a.m., which also means we had to get out of bed at an unheard of hour. As I mentioned before, we did upgrade to first class on the way there and that was a blessing. I was sure once we got on the plane my little darling, Payton, would pass out. NO GO. Well, let me correct that. She did pass out about 15 minutes before we landed. The remaining 2 1/2 hours were filled with little Miss Thang throwing huge fits and wanting to know why I wouldn't put her down. Good times.

We stayed at the Grand Floridian the three nights we were at the park. Huge thumbs up. As soon as we landed and were shuttled to the resort, we checked in and grabbed some lunch before heading to Epcot.

Cooper didn't sleep on the plane ride either, so by the time we ordered lunch he was passed out.

Miss Thang looking a little well traveled and trying to steal all our lemons. Yes, Payton loves to eat lemons. She doesn't even make the sour face. I blame this on Derek. He loves sour candy over even chocolate.

We then made our way to Epcot and had to see Bruce the shark from Finding Nemo. Cooper is obsessed with sharks, especially Bruce. However, when it was his turn to take his picture in Bruce he got a case of stage fright.

Payton loved all the fishes and had a blast taking everything in.

After riding some rides and seeing some countries, we decided to grab some dinner. By the time we arrived at the restaurant this is what we saw.

Looks like the long day finally caught up with them.

Then the next morning we had breakfast with the characters. Payton loved the characters from afar, but as soon as they came close she would cling to me for dear life.

See how she has the death hold on my shirt. I kept telling her that Tiger is our friend. However, she would not let go of me.

She did better with the characters that she could tell were real people. She wouldn't get that close to the Mad Hatter or the Princesses, but she didn't completely flip out when they came near.

Still to come. Our day at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and then our five days on the actual cruise.
