What's Been Going On.....

First and foremost, I am so incredibility busy that if I think about what all I have to do I think my head will explode.  Since I am limited on time, I will just post  some Halloween pictures first.  My only comment on Halloween was that at first Payton was not that into it.  She didn't like going to people's houses and thought that she was supposed to give them her candy.  However, after handing out candy at our house for awhile, she soon picked up on the concept and was off again to beg our neighbors for candy.  

Next up, I finally ordered everything for our ski trip.  I already did the airfare and hotel awhile back.   Now, I officially got a rental car, rented skis, ski lift tickets, and enrolled Payton in ski school.  You get a huge discount if you rent everything ahead of time at the ski resort.  I have been meaning to do this since early October.  Also, I finally, like two hours ago, ordered Payton's invitations for her party.  Last Saturday, I ordered the cake.  Payton was there so she picked it out.  Apparently, we are having a Minnie / Mickey Mouse birthday party.

I also stepped into the 2000s and got an Iphone.  Before the Iphone I had a blackberry pearl.  It was fine.  The only reason I had a blackberry was because my work server couldn't sync with an Iphone.  However, about a year ago, my work finally got a new server; therefore, employees were free to actually have an Iphone that would get work e-mails.  The only reason I upgraded to an Iphone now is because my old phone was dying a slow death.  It wouldn't keep charges and would randomly lose my contacts.

On the work front, I am currently at work now.  More out of necessity for my mind set then anything else.  As you may know, we are leaving to go skiing at the end of the month.  Before I go out of town, I have to attend one deposition, I got co-workers to cover the other FOUR because I was out of town; however, I still have to prepare them and basically write out the questions.  I have to update discovery in a massive case.  I have to have a couple of client meetings.  I also have to respond to TWO motions for summary judgment.    Here is ONE of the bad boys:

 The actual motion is only 70 pages; however, there are over 900 pages of exhibits.  The other one is light compared to this one.  It is only 50 pages.  However, my original answer date for both responses was before I left on my trip.  However, based on a lot of legal crap that I am not at liberty to discuss it got moved until December 7th.  I still want a complete really good draft of my responses  before I go out of town.  Therefore, I have been working on Sundays to get it done.

And to top it all off, I still have other cases that have smaller due dates coming up.  Nothing major, but enough to take time away from finishing my responses during normal business hours.

Okay, I have wasted enough time on this post.  I will try to post sometime before our trip; however, don't be surprised if you don't hear from me until sometime in December.
